I was brought up by a family that believes in God. I attended the Church meeting: singing songs in praise of God and listening to the Bible ‘lectures.’
One night, I was asked if I would like prayer to receive the Holy Spirit, an experience where a person is made in right standing with God. In order to receive this, I praised God in the English. One night my ‘tongue’ began to change, and I began to speak in ‘tongues.’ This is the Bible evidence of receiving the Holy Spirit. I then followed the command to be submerged in water, baptism, as a symbolic burial of my ‘old life.’ From this point on my life really did change and I now have a confidence and assurance as to what the future holds and what God has in store for me.`
