God’s ability to heal the individual is as certain today as it was in Bible times, for the Scriptures assure us that Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever… Hebrews 13v8, and … For I am the LORD, I change not;… Malachi 3v6. God has promised healing to His Church (James 5v14-15), and healing is a sign/miracle that will accompany the preaching of the Gospel. (Mark 16v20.) Believers in Jesus Christ will lay their hands on the sick, and the sick will recover. (Mark 16v15-18.)
Healing is… A Bible promise to those who dare to believe
The Bible tells us …all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen… (2 Corinthians 1v20.) This means that God’s promise of healing is assured. God’s reply to the request (with faith) for a healing is yes and amen (ie yes and final, unchanging). The requirement is to believe, as Jesus said: … If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth… (Mark 9v23.)
It’s God’s desire to heal us
When Jesus came to the earth and preached the Kingdom of God, He demonstrated to us all what God is really like. (John 14v7-11.) God is not oppressive or wishing to impose heavy burdens or sickness upon us. No, quite the opposite, Jesus healed the sick, set the captives free, released the heavy burdens, (Luke 4v16-21, Matthew 11v28-30), and declared … he that hath seen Me hath seen the Father … (John 14v9), in other words He was telling us that this is what God is like. The religious teachers during Jesus earthly ministry, were not prepared to believe in Him. They would not accept the miracle of healing. Sadly, there are many religious leaders today who have the same unbelief, but Jesus hasn’t changed, (Hebrews 13v8.)

In 1987 I had prayer for a damaged disc in my lower back and the Lord healed me that day. The joy of the Lord is a great constant in my life and I thank Him for revealing Himself to me by the Holy Spirit and for giving me new direction and a purpose in life.

In May 1993 I was devastated to be told that I must have immediate surgery to remove a rare tumor. These tumors are locally aggressive, often recur, and can become cancerous. After prayer, I went in to hospital for surgery conWdent that my future was in God’s care. The removal of the tumor was successful and no chemotherapy.
In February 2013. I was diagnosed again with a tumor, I was told the bone that is protecting my right eye has being removed from previous surgery, “The surgeon told me” the tumor is very close to your right eye, after your operation you may have blurred or double vision or lose your sight in the right eye and this could be permanent. I went in to hospital for keyhole surgery and they could not Wnd any tumor it disappeared, thank you lord. I thank God for he is a God who hears and answers prayer.

I was in a bad car accident and my injuries were a broken pelvis in three places. The doctors said it would be six months for me to be back to normal, and I was healed in an instant just five days after the accident! After marrying I was also unable to have children with two different conditions preventing it, but after prayer I was completely and totally healed and we have four children now.

My life as a teenager went off the rails into a dark world of drugs and alcohol. I was invited by my mum to come to a church convention in the city. I wish I could say I remembered the actual meeting but unfortunately, I was hung over from the night before of binge drinking and drugs and I sat at the back and slept.
The Sunday meeting came along and again I sat at the back, bemused that people my age (19) and younger were praising God, had their bibles opened and were actually listening to the pastor preach. Oddly, I couldn’t fight this niggling feeling that somehow I was missing out.
Monday came along and I came to the meeting. I prayed with a brother and started to pray in my own prayer language, a language that has not left me since and has been a great comfort to me in life’s many ups and downs.
All my addictions left me instantly, the very smell of a cigarette would make me feel physically sick, as did the thought of taking another sip of alcohol.
It was a true miracle, I was made a new man and in my now 17 years walking with Jesus I have seen many wonderful things – people receiving the Holy spirit and baptized, people healed in front of me, even people on the brink of death with hours to live, miraculously healed and restored… I wish I could write so much more as the Lord has been truly gracious and blessed me with the greatest understanding “In Jesus I live, no matter what happens in the world I am safe in Him I will never let Him go”.Jesus is the Only way, Truth & Life.

I started speaking in a new language, and suddenly I knew that God was alive. I knew that He wanted me plus my bad back was healed instantly! Proof, logical, instant! 10th June, 1973 at 4pm at the corner of Tram and Doncaster roads in Doncaster, Melbourne.
I travelled a lot for my work. I managed to catch a Chinese worm through some dodgy water. It started in my intestines but then ate its way through the intestinal wall, then started eating my heart lining and kidneys. It took a few months for the doctors to find the problem, but a visiting Chinese doctor recognised it immediately. I was weak, jaundiced, in constant pain and had a sharp pain every 5 seconds. She said that the only way to kill it was to place me in hospital, feed me a poison that would take me to 99% dead. After two weeks either I or the worm would die.
The next Sunday I was at a church meeting and the speaker was talking about God’s healing. I realised that we are only around for a few short years, so when God healed us it was really just a temporary extension of a short life. Why does He do that? Because He loves us so much He wants to give us good things. While I was thinking about how incredibly loving God is, the worm died. No continuous pain, no “munch” feeling every 5 seconds. All gone in an instant! I felt strong, My wife said my colour had returned to normal. God had healed me totally!

After hearing about God’s healing power, I also experienced a healing for myself: a doctor diagnosed me with hyperthyroidism and said that I would have to take medication for the rest of my life. I did not want to accept this, so the church and I prayed for my healing. After a few months all symptoms of the disease disappeared, no medication required!
